Nestled by a serene corner of the lake, the hotel boasts a stunning view of Villa del Balbianello, perfect for the evening wind-down. From the moment I arrived, the staff's warm hospitality was evident; they made it a point to remember my preferences at breakfast. The free parking made it easy to explore nearby gems like Bellagio and Como. The room, comfortable with a soundproofed design and beautiful lake views, made for a relaxing escape. The hotel's restaurant offered a pleasant dining experience, complemented by a lovely terrace where I could enjoy meals while soaking in the lakeside atmosphere. With both a free coffee/tea station and well-maintained amenities, including a flat-screen TV and air conditioning, the essentials were covered. While not the cheapest option in the area, the unique charm and helpful service reflect a reasonable balance of luxury and value. Crotto serves as a lovely base for exploration and relaxation, making it a choice worth considering for future trips to the Como region.
